We clean Danube in Ukraine!

With the aim to form ecological and social responsibility among the youth, a careful attitude to the environment, and the spread of this culture across all segments of the population, the International “We Clean Danube” event will be held along the river banks of Danube on the 27th of August 2019 in Vilkovo, Odessa region Ukraine.

Under the theme of “Clean locally, celebrate globally!”, The international event will bring volunteers from 15 countries along 2850 km of the second longest European river.

In Ukraine, the team will consist of students, members of the local government and special guests: Iuliia Markhel - Special Youth's Achievements in Ukraine Development Award from Cabinet of Ministers winner, co-organizer of the global environmental movement “Let's Do It World ”With 17 million participants from 160 countries, and organizes“ World Cleanup Day ” on the 21st of September 2019; Ksenia Renchkovska - Manager of the INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MOVEMENT «SCHOOL RECYCLING WORLD» in Ukraine.

The Ukrainian event is beginning on the St. Nickolas square in Vilkovo, Odesa region - Danube gates the city, which is visited annually by thousands of tourists, arriving by cars, buses and cruise ships to see the beauty of Danube banks and breathtaking landscapes of the Danube's biosphere reserve.

INTERNATIONAL YOUTH MOVEMENT «SCHOOL RECYCLING WORLD» is an organizer of the event in Ukraine, with the initiative of the organization “River Cleanup”, informational assistance of the sport and youth Ministry of Ukraine, organizational assistance of the City Government in Vilkovo and the Danube's biosphere reserve, and resource assistance from PepsiCo in Ukraine.

Organizers encourage to join the event and clean the banks of the Danube together on the 27th of August 2019, 9:00 am-11:30am. Meeting is on the St. Nickolas square in Vilkovo, Odessa region.
