River Cleanup Istog River together with Let's do it Kosovo
Let’s Do It Kosova in cooperation with the global movement River Cleanup, today carried out a cleanup action on the Istog River, from where more than 100 bags of plastic waste and mixed waste were removed, as well as nine (9) trucks with voluminous waste. This action was also supported by the municipality of Istog.
The cleanup action was realized more concretely at the "Stone Bridge (Ura e Gurit)" in the village of Zallq in the municipality of Istog. Participants in the activity in addition to Let’s Do It Kosova volunteers were also officials from the municipality of Istog. Due to the situation with the pandemic, the number of participants was reduced.
In this action was launched for the first time the use of the device "Trash boom", which serves as a barrier for floating waste.
Today's action was carried out in the continuation of the actions for the cleaning of the Drin River, which have started since last year in cooperation with the River Cleanup movement, and which will continue throughout 2021.
