Is your school ready to reduce plastic pollution? With the free Plastic Clever schools resources, you can take action today!
The Plastic Clever Schools program motivates and guides young people towards reducing single-use plastic at school and taking action against plastic pollution. In the pilot project in Cameroon, River Cleanup is supporting 10 schools in Douala through this program.

Discover together why it is so important to take action!
Bring your entire class or school together to learn about plastic pollution.
Participate in a cleanup campaign or organize one yourself.
Share your commitment through a plastic clever pledge.
Investigate
Go investigate!
Count all of the plastic items used at school.
Determine which two types of plastic are the most problematic.
Make a plan to reduce or eliminate those two.
Act
Time for action!
Put your plan into practice with a campaign at school.
Take photos and videos of your process and show the change you've made.
Celebrate your success.

The program is designed so that teachers and students can work with it independently whenever they want. There is a toolkit for teachers and a workbook for students available in French, English and many other languages.
