In partnership with River Cleanup, together with the team of volunteers at Star Hands, we will be organizing a river cleanup campaign along the River Nile in Jinja, Uganda, dubbed Nile Sparkle: Cleanup Campaign.
The River Nile is the longest river in the world, traversing Uganda, Egypt, and many other countries. However, people residing along its banks continue to pollute it with plastics, polythene bags, and other harmful chemicals.
Our goal is to raise awareness about river pollution and encourage the people of Jinja to keep the River Nile clean. Additionally, we aim to collaborate with volunteers and residents of Jinja to conduct a large-scale river cleanup campaign in their area.
