Impact as a part of the Clean River Model
We are on a mission to clean rivers by empowering people, preventing pollution, and accelerating change! Our approach, better known as our Clean River Model, is made up of 3 pillars and 2 enablers. Together, they take on the entire lifecycle of river plastics. The actions vary from virgin plastic use reduction to circular economy solutions, preventing new plastic pollution and cleaning up existing pollution. Impact is the second enabler.
Maximizing our impact
We evaluate our impact on a regular basis to ensure we stay on the right path towards our goals. We monitor KPI's such as plastic usage in communities, plastic leakage in rivers, and environmental stewardship by individuals, authorities and corporations. The progress will be visualized in a River Data Platform. Our actions can be improved based on these data.

Impact evaluation
Our goal is to measure the impact of the Clean River Program. We track the Clean River Program key performance indicators (plastic pollution, awareness, waste management…) before, during, and after implementation in the impact zone(s).
River Data Platform
A centralized River Data Platform is crucial to track and improve the Clean River Programs. The platform will have information on pollution, assessment, impact, features and contributors. This allows us to share best practices, and accelerate our worldwide impact.
Governance
Our goal is to set up all the required processes and structures through which decisions are made and actions are taken. Good governance guarantees the long-term sustainable impact.
