This clean-up was a 4-hour long clean-up of the Odaw river through the Estuary point which remains highly polluted with plastic especially during the raining season. The rains and lack of clean up of these rivers has led to the slow flow of the river and causing an increase in mosquito breeds which in turn is a leading cause of malaria in the slums located by these river bodies,
