Shen Pjetri Beach, near Cape of Rodon
On August 16, 2021 River Cleanup Albania took action near Cape Rodon, the symbol of RiverCleanupAlbania.
A total of 23 volunteers from Durrës and Tirana of RiverCleanupAlbania came together, mainly students of UAMD and high school students of the school 'IbrahimKodra', but also students of FSHN, UT and FSHMT, UM, nature activists, teachers and pedagogues; 4 employees of the Directorate of Municipal Services, Municipality of Durrës, who sent the collected waste to the Sharra landfill; 2 specialists of the Agency of Protected Areas Durrës, and 7 vacationers near the beach of St. Peter, protected area, Lalzi Bay - Rodoni Cape.
Under the direction of the field coordinator, Lalzi resident Drini Muharremi and coordinators of volunteers with experience over 10 actions, Durrës high school student Brigena Deda and UAMD student Genta Mësaja, the volunteers managed to clean 300 kg of waste, mainly plastic and glass.
