CLIMATE ACTION SIERRA LEONE
CASL is a youth led community based organization operating in Bo city, southern province of Sierra Leone. We are focused on Afforestation, Waste management and recycling. We empower and educate young people to become actors in the fight against climate change. We are currently supporting schools with coded waste bins through our “Bin it to Win It” initiative. This initiative is more than just providing bins but it’s an empowerment, responsibility and behavioral change giving to early learners who we believe can effect positive change in their communities and help keep their school premises free from indiscriminate waste disposal.
We plan to undertake this clean up activity in one of the schools in Bo. City that is affected with poor waste management. Through our practical involvement, student can further learn about waste separation and the different types of waste and waste recycling.
