Kamagema River Cleanup Project
Faced with the significant pollution of the Kamagema River, which flows through the Panzi Market in Bukavu (DRC) before joining the Ruzizi River (a tributary of Lake Tanganyika)—pollution primarily caused by domestic waste discarded by residents and merchants, the debris of which ends up contaminating the fields along the Ruzizi—we are organizing a targeted collection and sorting day in the Kamagema to intercept this waste before it reaches the Ruzizi; this activity will mobilize more than ten young volunteers on Saturday, November 22, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 14:00 PM.
