Riverbank cleanup - Londenhaven Rotterdam
As part of the research within the INSPIRE project, we will be cleaning up part of the Londenhaven dock in Rotterdam for the 2nd time on Thursday, May 8. We want to test how effective our cleanup action is in removing the waste, and periodically monitor the acccumulation of plastic in this part of the harbor. We can then compare the results of this cleanup action with the 2024 action.
At this location, later in the year, we will also test the CirCleaner technology to fish plastic out of the water.
We will also fly over the area with drones to visually measure the before and after of our action.
We meet at 8:30 am in Antwerp, and will be back by 6:30-7 pm. A solid day! We provide transport, lunch and snacks. This cleanup action is for experts and is located on a slope with loose stones, so make sure to wear appropriate shoes!
