YOUTH ECO SUSTAINABLE CLIMATE CLEAN UP
Our environment faces multiple challenges related to Climate Change: pollution, water scarcity, depletion of natural resources, loss of biodiversity, food scarcity and extreme weather. The actions we choose to take to address these challenges should enable sustainable development. We should recognise that what we do today to make our lives better, should not have a negative consequence for our future, children or their children.
My Team (Youth Eco Sustainable Climate Clean Up) has identified a challenge in the clean up of the Jabi Lake Pond, Abuja, FCT, Nigeria. To provide a scalable and sustainable solution to the clean up, we would team up and engage in the environmental clean up of the lake on Oct 8, 2022. By submitting letters to the appropriate authorities and creating awareness by improving advocacy and sensitization on the subsequent clean up and indiscriminate dumping of non degradable waste to the waterway and channels.
