Let's spread awareness on campus!

The University Cup is a River Cleanup project that aims to spread awareness about plastic pollution on university campusses, and encourage students and employees to use and expand the solutions within the university. Plastic pollution is a huge threat to people and planet! By taking action with your university, college or graduate school you show the world you care and want to make a difference! who can participate?

The University Cup welcomes universities and colleges in Flanders, Brussels and Wallonia! There will be 1 Belgian winner per year!

What does it entail?

As part of the challenge, universities and colleges are asked to join a cleanup, have the students fill out a survey and allow us to do a single-use plastic scan on your campus. Find out more below.

WHAT CAN YOU WIN?

The winners gets a free zero-waste party to celebrate their sustainable mindset and results! We take care of drinks, dj, and pizzas! Everything used on the event will be re-use or re-usable! You fix the date, we do the rest!

Joining is easy!

To have a crack at winning the zero-waste party, you will have to do three things. With every activity you recieve points based on how well you did. The university or college with the most points over all three activities wins! We will organize everything in cooperation with the green office of the University or College.

JOIN A CLEANUP
Get as many students as possible to join your University Cleanup! You can either join one of our events or we can organize a cleanup together on a different day. You can earn points based on the amount of students joining the cleanup and the collected kgs of waste per student. You can also join one of our World Cleanup Day events if you like!
SHARE OUR SURVEY
Get as many students as possible to fill out a survey on their knowledge of the plastic pollution problem & its solutions, and their willingness to take action on it. You can earn points based on the percentage of correct answers and the percentage of students willing to take action. On top, our team will take surveys on campus as well to boost your score!
CAMPUS CHECK
Our team visits your campus to find out how you can live a sustainable lifestyle at your University. You can earn points based on the amount of water taps / student, sorting bins, lack of single-use plastic in student restaurant and other sustainable initiatives we observe on the campus.

Join us at World Cleanup Day!
