Clean Cocha

Cochabamba lies in the heart of Bolivians Andes mountain range and is the 4th largest city in Bolivia, with a population of about 650.000 inhabitants.

Bolivia has a fauna & flora that is incredibly divers, rare and pure, but the plastic and pollution problems in general are almost not over seeable anymore.

Precious Plastic Cochabamba want to put regular River Cleanups on the map in South-America. They are constructing machines to recycle some of the collected trash so it doesn´t end up in landfill. But to make this happen... they need you help!

We have about 60 reusable gloves and trash bags to work safely. So all you need to bring are good shoes, a (preferably reusable) bottle of water, a hat,  sunscreen if you need it, and your positive atitude!  :)

16th of September is World Cleanup day. Let us join forces and create the first, anual River Clean movement for South- America, right here in Cochabamba!

We will be working together with the Dutch school and therefor gather in the park next to college San Augustin.

We leave 9.30 sharp. We follow the bycicle path to head to the Christ statue. There we take the stairs down and have a snack, weigh the trash and play a bit. At 12 the activity ends here.

Cochabamba se encuentra en el corazón de la cordillera de los Andes bolivianos y es la cuarta ciudad más grande de Bolivia, con una población de alrededor de 650.000 habitantes.

Bolivia tiene una fauna y flora que es increíblemente diversa, rara y pura, pero los problemas de plástico y contaminación en general ya no son invisibles.

Precious Plastic Bolivia quiere poner las limpiezas regulares de ríos en el mapa de América del Sur. Están construyendo máquinas para reciclar parte de la basura recolectada para que no termine en un vertedero. Pero para que esto suceda... ¡necesitan tu ayuda!

Disponemos de unos 60 guantes reutilizables y bolsas de basura para trabajar con seguridad. ¡Así que todo lo que necesita traer son buenos zapatos, una botella de agua (preferiblemente reutilizable), un sombrero, protector solar si lo necesita y su actitud positiva! :)

El 16 de septiembre es el Día Mundial de la Limpieza. ¡Unamos fuerzas y creemos el primer movimiento anual de limpieza de ríos en América del Sur, aquí mismo en Cochabamba!

Trabajaremos junto con el colegio holandés y por eso nos reuniremos en el parque al lado del colegio San Agustín.

Salimos a las 9.30 en punto. Seguimos la ciclovia para dirigirnos a la estatua del Cristo. Allí bajamos las gradas y tomamos un refrigerio, pesamos la basura y jugamos un poco. A las 12:00 aquí finaliza la actividad.
