Clean Up Makeni
The Clean Up Makeni Waste Disposal Project is a community-based environmental initiative designed to address the growing challenge of poor waste disposal, illegal dumping, blocked drainage channels, and plastic pollution in Makeni City.
Beginning on 20 September 2026, the project will mobilize community members, youth, women, volunteers, local authorities, businesses, schools, and other stakeholders to participate in regular community clean-up activities and environmental awareness campaigns.
The project will promote responsible waste disposal, waste reduction, recycling, community ownership, and sustainable environmental practices. It will also encourage residents to take greater responsibility for keeping their communities clean and safe.
