Kolkata is a metropolitan city situated in West Bengal India near the River Hooghly.
This river has played an important role in the development of the city.
But due to modernization and urbanization the non degradable pollutants are finding their way to the river and hence affecting the biological life of the mighty River.
Also huge sedimentation rate has made the water quality worst
The main objective of this clean up event is to remove the plastic and debris from the river side and to create awareness among the local people.
